Imagine carrying a ball all day that weighs your total weight.... By the end of the day your arms and hands would ache, your back and neck would in pain and very very sore and stiff. That is how your feet feel, they carry that weight every day, so it makes sense to pamper and take care of your feet.
You don't have to pay a fortune for pampering your feet. You just need a square bucket that your feet fit in comfortably. Easy to get from any of the cheapy shops.
FOOT SPA 1 - RELAXATION
Place warm water into bucket, add 1/2 cup of Epsom Salts and 5 drops of Lavender (French) Essential Oil. Epsom salts is like taking a magnesium tablet, it made of magnesium and sulphate, it relaxes the muscles & nervous system. It also assists the body to rid itself of toxins. Epsom salts may also help with swelling. I use Lavender oil because it is soothing, relaxing and antibacterial. Lavender is an essential oil that can be used by everyone. I personally add the lavender oil to a teaspoon of milk before adding to footbath as this helps the oil disperse in the water. Soak your feet for about 20 minutes or as long as you like.
WHERE TO BUY INGREDIANTS
I know essential oils can be expensive and to use them regularly to pour down the sink is a bit of a challenge when you pay a high price for good quality essential oils at retail prices. I have used Ahimsa Essential Oils for over 30 years and they are high quality, used by many practitioners and the pricing is unbeatable. You can buy direct from Ahimsa and cut out the middle man costs. So visit www.ahimsaloils.com.au and look under "Genuine Oils".
As you will thoroughly enjoy this foot bath you will use lots of epsom salts, so buy in bulk. If you have a "Flannery's Health Food Store" (in Qld) or a health shop nearby that have a "bulk section" they will almost always have epsom salts and you can buy as much or as little as you want at bulk prices. A good price for epsom salts is about $4.50 a kilo. You can also buy epsom salts at the supermarket but the price is a bit higher.
